CLASS RATES/TIMES
Class Sessions: $45/sesson (Eight 30-minute lessons)
Session 1: June 2 - 12
Session 2: June 16 - 26
Session 3: June 30 - July 24
Session 4: July 28 - August 7
Session 5: August 11 - 14 (one week only)
PARENT/TOT CLASSES
Classes are geared toward children ages 6 months to 3 years. A parent
accompanies the child into the water. This class focuses on safe water
exploration with instructor-led songs and games and some one-on-one attention
from the instructor. Some of the skills taught are safe water entries and exits
with an infant and proper holding and towing techniques. Swim pants are required
for all children under 3 years old.
PIKE CLASSES
Beginner age 3 - 5. Participants will learn to put their face in the water, blow bubbles, basic kicking and floating.
STARFISH CLASSES
Intermediate/Advanced. Age 3-5 who are confident in the water without the use of instructional floatation devices or have passed the Pike level.
POLLIWOG CLASSES
Age 6+ and able to swim unassisted. Participants will learn front crawl with side breathing, elementary backstroke and backstroke.
GUPPY CLASSES
Age 6+ and able to swim unassisted. Participants will define technique of front crawl with side breathing and backstroke. They will learn breaststroke and butterfly.
RULES
No diving allowed in shallow end of pool
No rough play or dunking
No running
Youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Chewing Gum, Smoking, Alcohol & Tobacco is prohibited
Glass containers are not allowed
Swim suits must be worn at all times. Cutoffs are not permitted.
Buoy line is not for hanging or rolling over
Only Coast Guard approved floating devices are allowed
Forward entries only into the pool
It is the Lifeguards responsibility to enforce these guidelines & anyone
not following them will be asked to leave.
