THE IMPACT OF YOUR GIFT.... and why we need your help....

Program fees and membership dues alone are not sufficient to cover the costs involved in keeping rates low, offering assistance to low-income youth, adults and families, and continually expanding our outreach. As a result, we rely heavily on support from our community to help us meet the growing needs.

Your gifts are tax-deductible (Tax ID 94-1265049) and help the Sonoma County Family YMCA provide child care, camp, youth sports, aquatic and fitness programs for kids, families, adults and seniors who are unable to afford services.

100% of your gift can help make a meaningful, enduring impact in
our community:

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR:

Youth Development
We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are & what they can achieve. Through the Y, thousands of youth today are cultivating the values, social skills, & relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, & educational achievement. Y activities give our youth the opportunity to become confident kids today, & healthier, happier grown-ups tomorrow.

Healthy Living
Improving our community’s health & well-being is a priority for the Y. At the Y, we help bring families closer together, encouraging good health & fostering connections through fitness, sports, fun & shared interests.

Social Responsibility
At the Y, strengthening our community is our cause. The Y has been listening & responding to our communities’ needs for over 55 years. Together we can build stronger, more inclusive communities, provide support for families & promote positive change overall.

The Y does not turn away anyone for inability to pay. Sponsorships, made possible by generous gifts of individuals, companies and organizations, provide a sliding scale of support to fit every budget and need. An Annual Campaign in the spring, the Human Race and a Kids to Camp Golf Tournament in the summer and a Harvest Fair Family Run Walk in the fall provide special opportunities for participation and giving, year round.

Program partnerships, event sponsorships, and special grant-funded projects are tailored to the specific needs of major donors of $1,000 or more (See President's Club and Chair's Roundtable sections for further information.)  Healthy Kids Day in April, a Halloween Carnival in October and silent auctions at events provide opportunities for volunteer participation and in-kind giving.  Every gift, no matter how large or small, will make a difference in the life of a child or adult.
