SUPER KIDS ART N' COOKING CAMP

Fast Facts
• Ages 6-12
• Hours: 7am - 6pm
• 8:1 camper to counselor ratio
• Sessions are 2 week in length
• One field trip or special event per session
• Campers swim 3 times a week

Join us for a summer filled with art exploration and cooking journeys. Campers will look at ART in many different ways! They will discover that ART can be edgy, bold, and full of life. They will be encouraged to explore different ART forms and learn about specific artists as well as their techniques. At the end of each session, your child will create and present their own “work of art” at a party celebrating their splendid creations.

Cooking sessions will take your child outdoors to create recipes using a variety of tools in addition to their imagination. Campers will put on their chefs hats and create recipe masterpieces from the cooking and baking world of culinary delights.

Art Kaleidoscope - Session 1
Dates: June 9-20
Scrapbooking, jewelry making, art that goes BLING! Art can be sparkly, crazy, big, bold, and not always fl at. Join us for two wonderful weeks of discovering the common and not so common world of ART that makes us go WOW!

Cool Camp Cooking - Session 2
Dates: June 23-July 3
Ever wonder how to bake a cake in the wilderness or create a gourmet meal with only a fi re pit and some pots and pans? Well, it is possible! Come discover the wonderful world of outdoor cooking. Create new outdoor recipes that you can share with your family and friends!
Field Trip: Armstrong Woods

Adventures in Art - Session 3
Dates: July 7-18
What is ART? Get lost in the wonderful world of ART and all it has to offer. Art explorers will learn that ART is not just drawing and painting, but includes dance, song, pottery, visual arts, sculpture, theater, and so much more. Explore the endless possibilities and create your own WORK OF ART to share with your friends.
Field Trip: Exploratorium

Little Chefs - Session 4
Dates: July 21-August 1
Baking and cooking...what’s the difference? Put on your chef’s hat and create a gourmet dinner or bake a scrumptious breakfast treat. You will bake and cook from scratch while exploring recipes from all over the world. Create your own award winning recipes and share with your fellow chefs at an end of the session party.

Art Quest - Session 5
Dates: August 4-15
Who are these people that created such works of ART as the Mona Lisa or super hero comic strips or the Great Wall of China? Join your super counselors and summer friends as you embark on a two week journey to discover these amazing artists. Explore different techniques and learn to create your own WORK OF ART
Field Trip: Charles M. Schulz Museum
