SCIENCE ADVENTURE CAMP

Science Adventure Camp will bring out the curiosity in every child as campers explore themes including rockets, outer space, the human body, ocean mysteries, robots, and roller coasters. This hands-on camp will encourage your child to explore the mysteries of the world around them & get them excited about the possibilities of science!

Fast Facts
• Ages 7-12
• Hours: 7am - 6pm
• 8:1 camper to counselor ratio
• Sessions are 1 week in length
• One field trip or special event per session
• Campers swim twice a week

Science Crime Busters - Session 1
Dates: June 8-12
Learn how detectives solve crimes! Find fi ngerprints, analyze fi bers and soil, and experiment with science sleuthing techniques as you work with a team to solve mysteries at Y Camp.
Field Trip: Academy of Sciences

Wilderness Survival Science - Session 2
Dates: June 15-19
No food, no shelter, no fresh water...what will YOU do? Come along with us for a week of adventure science. Campers will explore the outdoor world around them and learn about the science of wilderness survival.
Field Trip: Marine Mammal Center

Earth, Wind, and Fire - Session 3
Dates: June 22-26
From thunderstorms to volcanoes, earthquakes to analanches, our earth is both wonderful and unpredictable. Join us this week as we discover and unlock the mysteries of this planet we call home.
Field Trip: Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve

Eyeballs & Goo - What’s Inside of You! - Session 4
Dates: June 29 - July 3
Learn about the most fantastic machine ever made - YOU! Experiment to fi nd out how our bodies work. Listen to hearts, make models of lungs, learn how the senses work, and much more! Join us as we explore the hidden world of the human body.
Field Trip: Lawrence Hall of Science

Inventor’s Workshop - Session 5
Dates: July 6-10
Come create cool inventions and crazy contraptions! Campers will investigate important inventions and the science behind them. At the inventor’s workshop...the sky’s the limit as we explore and create to the far reaches of our imagination.
