TEEN STRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM

Do you have a 13 or 14-year old who wants to Strength Train without your supervision? This program is designed to give them the knowledge and skills to exercise on their own in our Fitness Center. After successfully completing a minimum of 2 orientations, a card will be issued and must be worn while working out. This card allows members ages 13-14 to work out anytime at this YMCA without parental supervision. Parents and participants are both required to sign the Parent Permission/Guidelines form.

Without this Program, members ages 13 and 14 are allowed to strength train in the Fitness Center with parental supervision only. Youth members 12 and under are not allowed to use strength training equipment in the Fitness Center unless they are part of the Family Fitness Program. Look for the Family Fitness flyer and ask our staff how to utilize this program.
