
MEMORIAL AND HONOR GIFTS
Giving a Memorial Gift in memory of a loved one ensures a legacy that will help perpetuate the mission of the Y. Gifts in honor of a significant anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion, achievement or award, add significance to the honor by extending benefits to others. The inclusive and diverse nature of the Y mission and programs make this an appropriate way to remember or honor every person or occasion.
How Gifts May Be Made
A letter, note, phone call or other communication, specifying the person, persons and occasion
for the gift, complete with address, phone number and other contact information, is the only
requirement for a Memorial or Honor Gift. Gifts may be made by cash, check, credit card or a
pledge of an intent to give by a certain date.
Member Recognitions
For Memorial Gifts, thank you letters are sent to each donor as well as to the family of the
deceased. Both donors and honorees for Honor Gifts also receive thank you letters. Gifts
amounting to $1,000 or more are eligible for President's Club and Chair's Roundtable benefits
and recognition, as appropriate.
