GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES
Pickleball - Fridays from 6:00 - 8:00 AM.
Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net, but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer wiffle ball.
The equipment is located in a shed on the outdoor basketball court. The proper Pickleball court is also on the outdoor basketball court. Members may currently put up the net themselves, by getting it out of the shed. It is not heavy or large, very portable. Fitness staff will generally be available to assist with set up. Many schools play the game & there is a large surge of seniors creating leagues all over California (and here in Sonoma County!).
