SPORTS LEAGUES
- Basketball- Spring 2010

A positive, supportive, youth basketball league for children ages 6-17 which emphasizes the fun of the sport, while keeping competition in perspective.

 

Goal of the Program:

  • To have fun.
  • Learn values associated with playing basketball (good sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork) along with the YMCA Core Values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility).
  • Learn the fundamentals of basketball (passing, dribbling, shooting, etc.) in practice/game settings.

Registration Fees:

  • Facility Members: $50
  • Basic Members: $65
  • Non-Members: $90
 

Divisions:

  • Co/Ed (6/7)
  • Boys & Girls
    (8/9, 10/11, 12/13, 14/15, 16/17)

Practices:

  • One 1-hour practice per week
    (between 6 PM-9 PM, M-F,
    March 1st – May 14th )

Games:

  • One 1-hour game per week
    (between 9 AM-5 PM, Sat,
    March 13th – May 15th )

No Practices or Games: During Spring Recess: Mar. 29 – Apr. 4, 2010

Photo Day:

  • March 20th, 2010 and
    Makeup April 17 th, 2010

Registration: November 9th – February 12th
