MODEL U.N.
Model United Nations is for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students only. The school grade at the beginning of the school year (September) is to be used as the basis for determining participant eligibility.
GOALS of MUN
1. Expand Global and Cultural Awareness.
2. Understand and Embrace Diversity.
3. Build Conflict Resolution Skills.
4. Teach Public Speaking Skills.
5. Develop Leadership Skills.
6. Promote Social Development and Fellowship with Peers.
7. Enhance Personal Growth reflecting the YMCA's Core Values of
Honesty, Caring, Respect, & Responsibility.
8. Provide YMCAs the opportunity to serve Middle School Students.
Through participation in MUN, it is the objective that each Ambassador
will be enriched by the experience through the goals stated above.
FEES & COSTS
This program begins in March and runs through May. Additional information will be available in January.
