GREAT SUMMERS START AT THE Y.
Teens 13-15 will gain leadership skills and camp counseling experience with the Counselor In Training program. Learn teambuilding techniques, risk management, project planning, and methods for interaction with youth. The CIT program is a supportive atmosphere for teens to develop the ability to lead, gain understanding of self and others, and experience volunteering with youth in our camp programs.
What do I need to do to become a CIT?
- Please fill out the questionnaire below.
- Submit (3) references if you are a first-year CIT, or (1) reference if you are returning.
- An interview will then be scheduled after April 3.
- If chosen, you will be required to attend the orientation, and a 1-day training session.
Orientation: Tuesday, May 2 at 6 PM, at the Sonoma County Family YMCA
Training Dates (choose one): May 13 or May 20, time TBD
