So much of our health and well being starts with our own lifestyle, choices and habits. What we do day to day. This program provides education, support, tips and tools to develop and strengthen these foundational building blocks for your healthy lifestyle.

Mondays - Education/Discussion of the Foundational Building Blocks
Fridays - Exercise class catered just for this group.

Discussions are led by trained health and lifestyle coach.

Osteoporosis Presentation

Monday, Sept 19

Attend in person at the Y. Reservations required .
Reservations close July 7 at 3:00 pm.

Join Physical Therapist, Sarina Ferguson to learn:

  • What osteopenia & osteoporosis are
  • The risk factors
  • Prevention exercise ideas
  • Maintenance exercise ideas
Sarina Ph.D in Physical Therapy, has a MS in Physical Therapy, BS in Kinesiology, Therapeutic Exercise and Rehabilitation, and a minor in Psychology. She is a certified LSVT BIG practitioner for Parkinson's treatment. She also has training in the Strain Counter-Strain technique, and custom foot-orthotic casting and fitting. She has a special interest in orthopedics and athletic injuries. Sarina often incorporates, instrument assisted myofascial release, Pilates, and kinseotape strategies in her rehabilitation process.
Prior to being a Physical Therapist, Sarina was a competitive gymnast for Sacramento State University. While on the Sacrament State Women’s Gymnastics team, she competed as a balance beam and floor specialist; helping the team win four consecutive Division 1 Conference Team Championships before retiring.

Healthy Living Management Program

The Y Lifestyle Lift Weight Management Program is designed to help you achieve your goals by increasing your awareness of what influences your lifestyle choices and help you make choices that are more aligned with your goals.

When it comes to weight management, there isn’t a “one size fits all” strategy. Every body is different. Achieving and maintain your healthy weight is a combination of food choices, environment and physical activity. This program helps participants build skills and daily habits toward weight management.

Let’s get started!

Program Nuts and Bolts:

Meet twice a week for 4 weeks.

Mondays, we explore topics such as goal setting, safe exercise principles, diet & eating action plans, and strategic planning
Fridays, we have a group exercise class catered just for this group.

Program led by a Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach!
