All Water Exercise Classes are included with a membership to the Y. Water Exercise Classes incorporate low impact movements and use the resistance and buoyancy of the water to strengthen your body and mind. Space is limited, and reservations are currently required for each class. Our classes are taught at all levels of intensity, and are fit for people of all ages and abilities. Find one that’s right for you! Supportive swimwear and water shoes are recommended for all classes.
Aqua Aerobics
A higher-intensity class that uses noodles, buoys, the wall and your body to elevate your heart rate, burn calories, and increase your cardiovascular fitness. Exercises also aim to help increase balance and flexibility. Keep moving and have fun!
Aqua Fit
A moderate-intensity class that incorporates aerobic exercises to improve strength, range of motion, balance, and flexibility. This class is great if you are recovering from surgery, living with arthritis or muscle stiffness, or if you just want a gentle full-body workout.
WATER WELLNESS
A complementary 45 min class to Hydro-kinetic exercise class for those wanting to gain/maintain functional and postural improvement in daily activities. The buoyancy and warmth of the small pool water encourages ease of movement and joint support. Motion is lotion in our strive for wellness. And a splashing good time! Class is scheduled to meet in the small pool. Reservations required.
